I had an interesting interview with someone the other day who has a very successful membership website but they never sell memberships.
How do they do it?
They “wholesale” memberships to other people who buy memberships in “blocks” at a very low cost per membership. The wholesalers give the memberships as bonuses with their own products or they sell them.
It’s a win/win deal for everyone. The wholesalers get a valuable product they didn’t have to create.
The membership webmaster gets to do what he likes best-research and write. Plus he has access to over 4,000 qualified members of his website that the can offer related products.
